Public Seminar: “Shaping the Future — Indonesia–Korea Relations After the 2024 Election”
A collaborative seminar by FISIP UI and the Korea Foundation Jakarta through KIC FISIP UI, discussing the future of Indonesia–Korea relations after the 2024 election. Featuring experts from Seoul National University, The Habibie Center, and Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event strengthened academic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between the two nations.


Indonesia–Korea Sociocultural Exchange Fair
The Indonesia–Korea Sociocultural Exchange Fair, organized by KIC FISIP UI in collaboration with FIB UI and BEM FISIP UI, marked the closing event of KIC’s 2024 program series. Featuring a public lecture on educational diplomacy and a talk show on globalization and youth culture, the fair also included side events such as an education showcase, cultural bazaar, and networking activities. This event celebrated academic and cultural collaboration, reinforcing KIC FISIP UI’s mission to strengthen mutual understanding and partnership between Indonesia and South Korea.


K-Book Collection Launching & Talkshow: “Beyond the Screen — Korean Social and Political Landscape through K-Contents”
To celebrate World Book Day 2025, KIC FISIP UI launched a new Korean Studies book collection donated by the Korea Foundation to MBRC FISIP UI. Featuring over 70 titles on Korean media, culture, and politics, the event also included a talk show exploring how K-Content mirrors Korea’s social and political realities and fosters cross-cultural understanding.


KIC FISIP UI Opening Event & Book Launching: “Advancing Future Generation”
The KIC FISIP UI Opening Event, held in collaboration with the Korea Foundation Jakarta, officially introduced the KIC FISIP UI program to Indonesian and Korean stakeholders. The event featured networking sessions, discussions on future collaborations, and the launch of the essay collection book “Advancing Future Generation: Population Issues in Indonesia and Korea.” Through this initiative, KIC FISIP UI strengthens its role as a platform for academic, cultural, and diplomatic exchange between Indonesia and Korea.
Academic Conference: “World Population Day — Advancing Future Generations in Indonesia and Korea”
An international academic conference by KIC FISIP UI and the Korea Foundation Jakarta, held to commemorate World Population Day. The event featured essay presentations from students across Indonesia and abroad, exploring key themes on health, environment, economy, and equality in Indonesia–Korea relations. Through scholarly dialogue and collaboration, the conference aimed to foster innovative ideas and strengthen academic and cultural ties between the two nations.










Korea-Indonesia Young Creatives Competition (KIYCC)
KIC FISIP UI, in collaboration with MiriCanvas Indonesia, officially launched the Korea-Indonesia Young Creatives Competition (KIYCC) on June 10, 2025. The program empowers high school and university students to express cross-cultural ideas through digital design. Featuring a MiriCanvas Mini Workshop and a short lecture on gastrodiplomacy and glocalization, the event highlighted creativity as a bridge between Indonesia and Korea.
Research Workshop & Roundtable 2025 — Policy Challenges in Korea and Indonesia
KIC FISIP UI, supported by the Korea Foundation, held the Research Workshop & Roundtable Discussion 2025 under the theme “Navigating the Intersections: Policy Challenges in Korea and Indonesia.” The two-day program strengthened research skills and academic collaboration among graduate students and early-career researchers through expert-led sessions on writing, methodology, and policy discussions across five thematic areas within Indonesia–Korea studies.
Korea-Indonesia Youth Collaboration Program 2025 — Bridging Dialogue on Global Issues
The Korea-Indonesia Youth Collaboration Program, jointly organized by KIC FISIP UI and the Chung Mong-Koo School of ASEAN Studies, brought together Korean and Indonesian students to discuss global issues such as climate change, food security, and sustainable development. Through group discussions, presentations, and interactive sessions, the program fostered cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration between future leaders of both nations.
Study Trip to South Korea 2025 — Bridging Scholarship and Cultural Understanding
KIC FISIP UI, supported by the Korea Foundation, held the Study Trip to South Korea 2025 to enhance research and cultural exchange between Indonesian and Korean scholars through conferences, academic visits, and field studies in Busan and Seoul.
